Nirankari Mass Marriage 2026
The ceremony, what the day is like, and photography for the couples and families who are part of it.
Getting married on the 29th? We have photographed couples at this ceremony before. How to ask us
The date
Thursday 29 October 2026, all day, at Sant Nirankari Adhyatmik Sthal, G.T. Road, Samalkha, Haryana. It follows the 79th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam, which runs 23–26 October with Guru Vandana on 27 October. Please confirm against the Mission's own announcements before you travel.

Couples are married together in one ceremony, so the day moves quickly and it does not come back. We photographed weddings at this ground at last year's Samagam, so we know where to stand, when things happen, and how entry is arranged on the day. We take care of that side of it.
Most families travel a long way for this and leave soon after, so you get your photographs the same night — not weeks later, once everyone has gone home.
If the family is holding a haldi or mehendi the day before, we can cover that too.
To ask, just send us
- your names and where the family is travelling from
- whether it is the 29th only, or the day before as well
- photographs only, or a short film too
We will call you back and talk it through. There is no obligation in asking.

What the day is like
- It is one ceremony, not many. Couples are married together. At the last mass marriage held at Samalkha, 126 couples were married in a single ceremony, with families arriving from across India and from as far as Australia and Canada.
- It is simple by design. The Mission's ceremony is deliberately without dowry and without extravagance. What you will want photographs of is the people, not the decoration.
- The ground is very large. With that many couples and their families in one place, a family sitting together afterwards is often the only photograph in which everybody actually appears.
- Book early. Every photographer in the district is working that week, and rooms in Samalkha go long before the date.
While the family is here
Relatives who have not been in one place for years are in Samalkha for these few days. Many families use the occasion for a proper portrait of everyone together, at the house they are staying in or at our studio in town.
Family photo sittings in Samalkha →This is an independent page published by Sawan Photography, a photography studio in Samalkha. We are not connected to, and do not speak for, the Sant Nirankari Mission, and we are not involved in registering couples for the ceremony. For the ceremony itself, and to confirm the date, see nirankari.org.
